Once upon a time I played in this art rock group called Æviator and once upon a time we recorded a 4-track EP called Trail of Iron. Sadly it was never released, I got my ass fired from the group due to artistic differences and the group went to a perpetual hiatus...
Two years later I asked for the rights to release two of the instrumental songs that I had written by myself for personal use. Since we're in good terms nowadays, I also had these rights and released two singles dubbed as Lame-ass Leftovers and Party Inferno.
The recording session was the very first I had when it comes to recording my own material. None of us had no idea what the fuck we were doing and frankly that's what the EP sounded like too. The band was still going through artistic differences and last minute changes were made to the songs... I'll admit that I rushed the session schedule because of my impatience and that's one of the reasons why our material didn't turn out to be as great as we expected.
So I basically took the rights for the songs that I wrote myself which were simpler and more straight-forward Rock. I'm not fully satisfied with that material, but I'm proud to call it mine because the year I was in Æviator was an important learning experience.
